Riverbeds, desert canyons, pine forests, glacier fed valleys. The route connects sections of the old Silk Road with quieter mountain trails, remote villages, and some of the highest paved roads in the world.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAugust is a great time to ride through Gilgit-Baltistan. Days are generally warm and comfortable in the valleys, with cooler mornings and evenings as we move higher into the mountains. Around Khunjerab Pass and Rakaposhi Base Camp, temperatures can drop significantly, so good layering is essential.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe long summer days give us plenty of time on the bikes and access to the high mountain roads that make this route special. August is still part of the summer travel season, so the popular areas can be lively, but much of the ride takes us into quieter valleys, remote roads and high-altitude landscapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMountain weather is always unpredictable.
