April brings crisp mornings, clear skies, and snow still clinging to the high passes — the perfect time to ride northern Pakistan before the summer crowds arrive.
This 13 day route blends off-road exploration and smooth tarmac touring, taking you from the dusty valleys of Baltistan to the alpine forests and glacial lakes of Hunza and Naltar. It’s a ride built for those who enjoy variety: long sweeping mountain roads, rough high-altitude tracks, and quiet nights in remote mountain lodges.
Cold enough to feel the mountain air, warm enough to ride all day — it’s the ideal balance for anyone chasing a raw but refined adventure.

ITINERARY
13 DAYS INDO SPRING RIDE - 2026
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN ISLAMABAD/ AIRPORT TRANSFER
Welcome to the capital city Islamabad. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Explore Islamabad, visit the famous Faisal Mosque, eat at a local joint, do some last minute shopping before we venture out into the mountains.
DAY 02: FLY TO SKARDU + SHAKE DOWN RIDE
Morning flight to Skardu, followed by a short shakedown ride to fine-tune bikes and gear. Explore Shigar Valley in the afternoon and return to Skardu for the night.
DAY 03: SKARDU TO KHAPLU
Ride east along the Shyok River to Khaplu, one of Baltistan’s most scenic valleys. Visit Khaplu Fort and stroll through the old bazaar.
DAY 04: KHAPLU TO HUSHE
Continue deeper into the mountains toward Hushe, the last village before the great Karakoram peaks. The road turns rough and narrow as we climb through stone villages and icy streams. Overnight stay in Hushe.
DAY 05: HUSHE TO SKARDU
Ride back to Skardu, retracing the river valleys with new light and a different perspective. Afternoon free to relax or explore local cafés and markets.
DAY 06: SKARDU TO NOMAL
A full day’s ride following the JSR road and Karakoram Highway toward Nomal. Long mountain stretches and river crossings make this one of the most scenic sections of the tour.
DAY 07: NOMAL TO KARIMABAD HUNZA
Shorter, steady day on the Karakoram Highway, ending in Karimabad, the cultural center of Hunza. Check into the hotel overlooking Baltit Fort and relax.
DAY 08: A DAY OFF THE BIKES: EXPLORE HUNZA
A day to slow down. Visit Baltit and Altit Forts, walk through old Hunza streets, or simply unwind with views of Rakaposhi and Ultar Sar from your terrace.
DAY 09: HUNZA TO KHUNJERAB PASS (CHINA BORDER) TO PASSU
Ride to the Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved border crossing in the world (4,700m). After a stop for photos at the Pakistan–China gate, descend through the Passu Cones to spend the night in Passu Village.
DAY 10: PASSU TO NALTAR
Head south, turning off the highway into the pine forests of Naltar Valley. The final section is off-road, leading to alpine lakes and cool, high-altitude air. Overnight stay in Naltar.
DAY 11: NALTAR TO SKARDU
Retrace part of the route on a long but scenic ride back to Skardu, with time to reflect on the journey’s contrasts — from desert valleys to snow-lined peaks.
DAY 12: FLY FROM SKARDU TO ISLAMABAD
Morning flight to Islamabad. Rest, shop, or explore the city in the evening.
DAY 13: FLY HOME
Write to us when you reach home!
