OUR INSTRUCTOR RAHMALA
Rahmala’s trauma and chronic pain focused body and breath-work practice is grounded in her Vipassana and Brahmavihara practice. Beginning in 2015, she has sat Vipassana retreats in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Burma and the US, learning from monastics and teachers rooted in the Theravada tradition.
She's trained in trauma-informed healing for Muslim women (Ihsaas) and holds Hatha yoga certification (RYT-200) from South India. She is also a QiGong and Reiki (Level 1 and 2 in the Usui tradition) practitioner.
Rahmala’s facilitation focuses on building somatic intelligence, proprioception and self-compassion.
Beyond retreats, Rahmala’s impact extends to weekly classes, personalized sessions, and enlightening workshops at educational institutions and community centers.
With a background in journalism and media strategy, Rahmala integrates mindfulness into teaching science, technology, society, and critical media studies at IBA, Karachi.As a co-founder of Karachi Sangha and the Karachi Wellness Festival, Rahma is deeply involved in the local wellness and Vipassana community.

DAILY ROUTINE & ITINERARY
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN PAKISTAN (ISLAMABAD)
Upon arrival at Islamabad Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to relax and freshen up before embarking on an exploration of Islamabad. Enjoy lunch and dinner at local eateries, and rest up for an early morning flight to Gilgit.
DAY 2 - ARRIVAL AT HUNZA
Begin your day with a flight from Islamabad to Gilgit, followed by a transfer to your hotel in Hunza. After checking in, enjoy a meet and greet session followed by lunch. Relax for a while before indulging in a yoga flow session and a guided walk. Dinner will be served, after which you can retire for the night.
In the case of weather not allowing the flight to take off, we will drive from Islamabad to Chilas.

DAY 3 - Rest Day
In the case that we take a flight from Islamabad to Skardu on day 2, this will be a rest and acclimatizing day in Hunza.
If we are not able to fly on day 2 and drive from Islamabad to Chilas, we will use this day to complete our journey and drive from Chilas to Hunza.
DAY 4 - FIRST DAY ROUTINE
Wake up to the sound of the bell and start your day with sunrise yoga and meditation. Enjoy breakfast before heading out for a drive to Upper Hunza, visiting picturesque villages along the way. Lunch will be served, followed by more activities including breathwork, yoga flow, and a guided walk around Borith Lake. Return to the resort for dinner.
DAY 5 - SECOND DAY ROUTINE
Start your day with morning yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Embark on a drive to Hopper Glacier, where you'll engage in activities like breathwork and meditation. Return to Hunza for dinner.
DAY 6 - THIRD DAY ROUTINE
Begin your day with sunrise yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Explore Baltit Fort and Karimabad Bazar before returning for lunch. Enjoy more activities including breathwork, yoga flow, and a guided walk before dinner.
DAY 7 - FOURTH DAY ROUTINE (DRIVE TO SKARDU)
Wake up early for morning yoga and meditation, then enjoy breakfast before driving to Skardu. Check-in at your hotel, followed by lunch and free time. Participate in QiGong before dinner.
DAY 8 - FIFTH DAY ROUTINE
Start your day with morning yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Take a walk to an organic village, then return for lunch and free time. Engage in QiGong before dinner.
DAY 9 - SIXTH DAY ROUTINE
Begin your day with morning yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Enjoy some free time before lunch, then embark on a drive to Sarfaranga Cold Desert for more activities including QiGong. Return to the hotel for dinner.
DAY 10 - SEVENTH DAY ROUTINE
Wake up early for morning yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Visit an ancient Buddha site before returning for lunch and free time. Drive to the hotel for check-in and participate in QiGong before dinner.
DAY 11 - FLIGHT TO ISLAMABAD
Start your day with morning meditation before enjoying breakfast. Transfer to Skardu Airport for your flight to Islamabad. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel, and enjoy lunch before exploring Islamabad or shopping. End the day with a farewell dinner.
In the case of weather not allowing the flight to take off, we will drive from Skardu to Naran.
DAY 12 - REST DAY
In the case that we take a flight from Skardu to Islamabad on day 2, this will be a rest and exploration day in Islamabad.
If we are not able to fly on day 2 and drive from Skardu to Naran, we will use this day to complete our journey and drive from Naran to Islamabad.
DAY 13 - FLY HOME
