DESCRIPTION
(NOT FOR BEGINNERS)
On The Edge is a high mountain line beneath some of the largest peaks on earth. Rakaposhi, the Passu Cones, and Nanga Parbat frame this route as you move through the Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and western Himalaya.
This is a disciplined mountain ride linking remote valleys, long river corridors, exposed side roads, and a 4,000 meter crossing of Deosai. The days are deliberate. The riding dictates the day. The commitment is constant.
Built for experienced riders who are comfortable with distance, exposure, altitude, and limited infrastructure.

Itinerary
10 DAYS ON THE EDGE ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN ISLAMABAD/ AIRPORT TRANSFER
Welcome to the capital city Islamabad. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Explore Islamabad, visit the famous Faisal Mosque, eat at a local joint, do some last minute shopping before we venture out into the mountains.
DAY 02: ISLAMABAD TO DIR TO KUMRAT VALLEY
Drive to Dir to position correctly. From there, we meet the bikes and ride into Kumrat Valley.
Forested tracks, broken surfaces, and tight valley sections as the terrain starts to rise toward the Hindu Kush. First real mountain contact.
DAY 03: KUMRAT TO BESHAM
Leave Kumrat and descend toward the Indus corridor.
Changing road quality, narrow sections, and river valley riding as you transition out of forest into bigger, harsher terrain.
DAY 04: BESHAM TO PASSU
A long northern push along the Karakoram Highway beneath the Indus and Hunza rivers.
This day runs deep into the Karakoram, with views of Rakaposhi, Ultar, and the Passu Cones as you approach Passu. Distance, wind, truck traffic, and inconsistent surfaces define the ride.
DAY 05: PASSU TO SHIMSHAL TO KARIMABAD HUNZA
Ride out from Passu toward Shimshal and return before continuing to Karimabad.
The Shimshal road cuts through steep gorges with exposed sections and broken surfaces. A road that the villagers made themselves. It sits in the shadow of the high Karakoram, leading toward peaks above 7,000 meters. Precision riding all day. Ride it in. Ride it out.
DAY 06: REST DAY IN KARIMABAD HUNZA
Recovery day in Hunza beneath Rakaposhi and Ultar. Optional trek above the valley. The terrain ahead warrants the reset.
DAY 07: KARIMABAD HUNZA TO TARISHING
Leave Hunza and move toward the eastern valleys below Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world.
Long connectors, minimal infrastructure, and increasing isolation as you approach Tarishing, one of the closest road access points to Nanga Parbat’s massive south face.
DAY 08: TARISHING TO SKARDU VIA DEOSAI NATIONAL PARK
Depart Tarishing and climb onto the Deosai Plateau.
Deosai sits above 4,000 meters and is the second highest plateau in the world. Long gravel sections, open high-altitude riding, and rapidly changing weather define this crossing. Wide lines, steady throttle, no complacency. Descend back into Skardu to close the northern loop.
DAY 09: SKARDU TO ISLAMABAD
Morning flight south. Final evening in Islamabad.
