DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN SKARDU / RIDE TO SARFARANGA DESERT & SHIGAR
Touch down in Skardu and kick off the journey with a relaxed shake-down ride through the vast Sarfaranga Cold Desert and the timeless Shigar Valley. Golden dunes, dramatic peaks, and ancient forts set the tone for the days ahead.
DAY 2 – SKARDU TO NOMAL
Ride along the Indus River, tracing one of the oldest trade routes in Asia. The landscape unfolds in layers — rocky canyons, riverside villages, and long open stretches that make for pure, mindful riding.
DAY 3 – NOMAL TO PASSU
Head north into the legendary Hunza Valley, where turquoise lakes and glacier-fed rivers define the terrain. Arrive in Passu, home to the iconic Passu Cones and centuries-old settlements beneath the towering peaks.
DAY 4 – PASSU TO KHUNJERAB PASS & BACK
Ride to the top of the world — the Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved border crossing on the planet. Cross through alpine valleys that once connected caravans from China to the Subcontinent. Return to Passu by evening, tracing the same timeless route.
DAY 5 – PASSU TO KARIMABAD, HUNZA
Cruise down the Karakoram Highway to Karimabad, the historic heart of Hunza. Explore the Baltit Fort, browse local bazaars, and take in the evening glow over Rakaposhi. A perfect blend of history, scenery, and mountain culture.
DAY 6 – KARIMABAD EXPLORATION DAY
A day to slow down and connect with Hunza life. Visit Altit Village, meet local artisans, and enjoy traditional food. Optional short treks or a relaxed drive to Eagle’s Nest for an unforgettable sunset view.
DAY 7 – KARIMABAD TO ISHKOMAN VALLEY
Leave the main road and dive into the quieter Ghizer region, home to Ishkoman Valley — one of the most authentic and scenic corners of Gilgit-Baltistan. The ride here feels like stepping back in time.
DAY 8 – ISHKOMAN EXPLORATION DAY
Spend a day immersed in Ishkoman’s slow rhythm. Explore hidden trails, meet the Wakhi and Kho communities, and share stories over tea beside the river. It’s culture and nature at their purest.
DAY 9 – ISHKOMAN TO NALTAR
Ride through twisting forest roads into Naltar Valley, known for its alpine lakes and dense pines. Optional jeep ride to the Seven Lakes or just unwind surrounded by wild beauty.
DAY 10 – NALTAR TO SKARDU
The journey comes full circle with an epic return through the Karakoram corridor. Open roads, deep valleys, and that last ride that feels just right. Celebrate the adventure with a farewell dinner in Skardu.
