Itinerary

13 DAYS DESERT TO GLACIER (450 IBEX) - 2025

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN ISLAMABAD/ AIRPORT TRANSFER

Welcome to the capital city Islamabad. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Explore Islamabad, visit the famous Faisal Mosque, eat at a local joint, do some last minute shopping before we venture out into the mountains.

DAY 02: FLY TO SKARDU + SARFARANGA COLD DESERT

Fly into Skardu, gear up, hop on the bikes and head to the Sarfaranga Cold Desert. Think golden dunes, epic mountain views, and your first taste of adventure on your 450 IBEX. Short ride, big vibes—let’s go!

DAY 03: SKARDU TO DEOSAI NATIONAL PARK

Ride out from Skardu and head into the wild beauty of the Deosai Plains (the second highest Plateau in the world) The road gets a little rough as we climb, but it’s totally worth it—endless rolling plains, crystal-clear streams, and maybe even a glimpse of some Himalayan wildlife. We’ll glamp here under a hopefully starry sky. It’s pure, untouched nature, and it's absolutely breathtaking!

DAY 04: DEOSAI NATIONAL PARK TO ASTORE VALLEY

Cruise through the wild plains of Deosai—wide-open views, cool air, and maybe a marmot or two. Then drop into Astore Valley, where green meadows and rivers make it feel like a slice of paradise. Simple, raw, and unforgettable.

DAY 05: ASTORE VALLEY TO FAIRY MEADOWS

Roll out from Astore Valley to Raikot Bridge on smooth tarmac with killer mountain views—about 70 km of easy riding. From Raikot, it’s a bumpy jeep track to Tatto, around 17 km of pure adventure on rugged terrain. Once we hit Tatto, it’s time to stretch those legs—an uphill trek of about 3-4 hours (around 5 km) gets us to Fairy Meadows. The trail’s steep but worth it, with epic views leading up to the most magical meadows under Nanga Parbat.

DAY 06: FAIRY MEADOWS TO HUNZA

The next day, we’ll trek back down from Fairy Meadows to Tatto—about 2-3 hours downhill, nice and easy. From there, it’s back on the jeep track to Raikot Bridge. Once we hit the road, it’s a smooth ride straight to Hunza, covering around 240 km of stunning scenery. Think roaring rivers, towering peaks, and the iconic Karakoram Highway leading us into the heart of Hunza. A day packed with adventure and epic views all the way!

DAY 07: HUNZA REST DAY

After a solid breakfast with insane views of Rakaposhi, we’re giving the bikes a break and diving into Hunza vibes. We’ll stroll through Karimabad and the Hunza Bazaar, then cruise up to the 1000-year-old Baltit and Altit Forts for some tea and lunch with epic views of the Hunza River. On the way back, we’ll drop by CIQAM—a super cool, all-women woodworking factory. Then it’s back to the hotel for dinner and a little magic show from Moin.

DAY 08: HUNZA TO KHUNJERAB PASS/CHINA BORDER TO GULMIT OR SHIMSHAL

From central Hunza, riders have two options to choose from. You can ride up the legendary Karakoram Highway to Khunjerab Pass—the highest paved border crossing in the world at a jaw-dropping 15,400 feet. It’s about 130 km one way, with towering peaks, yak herds, and unreal views all around. Or, if you’re craving something wilder, take the off-road route to Shimshal—a remote village accessed by one of the most dangerous tra in the world. Gravel trails, cliffside tracks, and adrenaline-pumping turns make this a ride for true adventurers.

Depending on the route you choose, you’ll wrap up the day with an overnight stay in either Gulmit or Shimshal.

DAY 09: DAY TREK TO PASSU GLACIER

From Gulmit, we’ll lace up for a trek to the stunning Passu Glacier. The trail winds through rugged terrain, offering spectacular views of the Passu Cones and surrounding peaks. It’s a moderate hike, around 4-5 hours round trip. By the time we reach the glacier, the sheer scale and beauty of the ice will leave you speechless.

DAY 10: GULMIT TO GILGIT

This day we’ll ride from Gulmit to Gilgit city, with an exciting detour that promises a sensory explosion. Get ready for this jaw-dropping surprise!

DAY 11: GILGIT TO SKARDU

From Gilgit, we’ll ride to Skardu, covering around 200 km of breathtaking scenery. We’ll cruise along the newly built Jaglot road, offering twisties and smooth stretches. The route takes us through dramatic landscapes, with charming villages lining the way.
